About Association

Sahakum Sopheakmongkol Association (SSA), meaning " Communities with happiness", was founded by Mrs. Ky Samphy and it was officially registered and recognized by Ministry of Interior on January 5, 2018.

This association exists because of her best efforts and last days of her life since she retired from Krousar Yoeung Association until her last breath on February 7, 2021.
This association is also the invaluable legacy for the team. It was founded due to the following elements:
1.    Vision
Sahakum Sopheakmongkol Association wants to see Cambodian children have sufficient care, growth, education, development, their rights and needs are respected.
2.    Mission
Sahakum Sopheakmongkol Association contributes to enabling environment for cognitive, corporal and language development, good morality and harmonization through:
•    Supporting and improving early childhood care and development by being very flexible to real context of each village in target communities.
•    Strengthening and improving childcare, positive parenting, and parents-children interaction.
•    Cooperating with local authorities, national and international organizations, and donors in order to promote early childhood care and development and positive parenting.
•    Participating in developing human resources and empowering families.
•    Sharing good practice and techniques with networks of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and relevant organizations.
3.    Value
•    Respecting child and human rights, dignity and harmonization of families.
•    Respecting development partnership (Families, local authorities, institutions, national and international organizations) and donors.
•    Being committed to efficiency, transparency and accountability
